MIXING AND APPLICATION
Decktect Aggregate Holding Coat is a two pack pre-weighed resin system ready for on site use. A separate aggregate pack is required. Mechanical mixing is essential and a drill and paddle type mixer is recommended. Add the entire contents of the hardener container to the base container and mix for 3-4 minutes using a slow speed drill fitted with a suitable mixing paddle until the mixture is homogeneous. The Decktect Aggregate Holding Coat should then be poured onto the Decktect PU Base Coat and spread to the required thickness using a squeegee. It is essential to spread the material in a uniform, even application without over-working. The Decktect Aggregate Holding Coat should then be rolled with a spiked nylon roller after application to aid the release of any entrapped air and to assist in leveling. Then broadcast a heavy even scatter of aggregate at a rate of 0.5kg per m2. We would recommend a mixture of 16’s and 20’s aggregate.
