DECKTECT TOP COAT"UV Stable Top Coat "
Decktect Top Coat provides an incredibly hardwearing, rapid cure, attractive surface finish for external car park decks within the Decktect system. The Decktect Top Coat is chemically resistant, impervious and has excellent abrasion properties.
Decktect Top Coat is a two pack Aspartic coating, formulated to provide excellent finish and application properties. It cures to form a tough, elastomeric, easily cleaned
high gloss finish. Decktect Top Coat offers long term UV stability for areas exposed to sunlight, whilst withstanding heavy vehicular traffic.
Chemically resistant excellent resistance to a wide range of chemicals
For the installation of the complete Decktect System this Datasheet should be read in conjunction with the Decktect PU Base Coat and Decktect Aggregate Holding Coat Datasheets.
Decktect Top Coat is resistant to a wide range of chemicals. Specific data is available on request from the Technical Services Department.
Decktect Top Coat is available in Light Grey, Dark Grey, mid Green, Artic Blue and Red.
Decktect Top Coat should not be applied at temperatures below 0o C and above 30o C.
A combination of low temperature and high humidity can effect the application and curing of this product.
If the Decktect Top Coat is being installed within 24 hours of the Decktect Aggregate Holding Coat, no additional surface preparation should be required.
However if the period of installation of the Decktect Top Coat is greater than 24 hours or the Decktect Aggregate Holding Coat has been wet or has been contaminated please refer to Conren’s Technical Services Department for further information. In this instance further surface preparation may be required in order to obtain the best inter-coat adhesion.
MIXING AND APPLICATION
Decktect Top Coat is a two pack pre-weighed system ready for on site use. Add the entire contents of the hardener container to the base container and mix for 2-3 minutes using a slow speed drill fitted with a suitable mixing paddle until the mixture is homogeneous. Apply by synthetic 12” roller at a rate of 0.4kg per m2.
COVERAGE & PACK SIZES
Decktect Top Coat base pack is a flammable product. Decktect Top Coat should not be allowed to come into contact with skin and eyes or be swallowed. Aspartic acid resins and hardeners may act as skin sensitizers to some people. Gloves, goggles and a suitable barrier cream should therefore be used. Ensure adequate ventilation if working in enclosed areas. Skin contamination with any of the products should be removed immediately with soap and water. In the event that mixed resin comes into contact with the skin, it must be removed before it hardens with a good quality resin removing cream, followed by washing with soap and water. Do not use solvent. If accidental eye contamination occurs irrigate with copious quantities of clean water and seek medical advice. If ingestion of any of the materials takes place, seek medical attention immediately. Do not educe vomiting.
All tools and equipment should be cleaned with Conren Solvent Cleaner immediately after use. Spillage should be absorbed with sand or sawdust and disposed of in accordance with statutory regulations.
Shelf life at least 12 months if stored in original containers between 10degrees Celsius and 25degrees Celsius
